When was the last time Xiaomi launched a flagship, remember? well, it was back in 2015 with the Mi 5 (of course not considering the Mi Mix series) and in January the company announced that they will be reintroducing the Mi flagship in India with the launch of Mi 10 on 8th May in India.
Xiaomi is looking to change its perception from being a budget brand to more of a premium brand in the eyes of people with the Mi 10, which will compete with the likes of OnePlus in the premium segment, though the “Pro” version isn’t coming to India.
Mi 10 features a 6.67 inch AMOLED FullHD+ panel with 90Hz refresh rate, the display supports HDR10+. Under the hood, it is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 and is coupled with 8/12GB LPDDR5 RAM & 128/256GB with UFS 3.0 storage. Runs on Miui 11 based on Android 10.
As for the shooters, there’s a quad rear camera setup of which the primary is a 108MP Samsung ISOCELL Bright HMX sensor with f/1.69 aperture that supports OIS & 8K recording, a secondary 13MP ultra-wide-angle with 123 FOV, A 2MP macro lens and finally a 2MP depth sensor. For the front, there’s a 20MP selfie shooter. Other camera features include – 8K recording, OIS, EIS, 4K@30fps video recording!
Mi 10 has a 4780mAh battery with 30W fast wired charging, 30W fast wireless charger and 10w WIRELESS Moreover, Xiaomi has created a microsite where customers can pre-order Mi 10 in India between 31 and April 7 will receive an instant discount of RS. 2500 on Axis bank credit cards & EMI transactions.
While the phone is priced at 3999 approx (RS. 40,290) Yuan in China and it will come with a higher price tag in India due to direct import, higher GST and depreciating rupee value as Mentioned by Manu Kumar Jain, MD Xiaomi India in a tweet.
