A month ago when Mi A3 was launched in Spain, Manu told that the device will definitely come to Indian markets, Manu; Xiaomi India CEO & Global VP tweeted about the launch date of the device. Xiaomi’s new Android One device will be launched on August 21 @12 noon. The event will be hosted at New Delhi. Additionally, Amazon has confirmed that Mi A3 would go on sale in their platform & has created a teaser page of it. Mi A3 is the successor to its predecessor Mi A2.

Mi A3 Specifications

The device was globally unveiled in Spain last month. The Mi A3 has a 6inch AMOLED display with an HD+ resolution which is surprising since all previous Mi A-series smartphones had an FHD+ display which is quite surprising for a mid-range phone. There is a teardrop notch on the device which houses a 32 MP selfie camera. Talking about optics, the device has a 48MP primary camera along with 8MP ultra-wide unit and finally a 2MP depth sensor.

The device has an AMOLED panel, a fingerprint sensor, the device is packed by 4030 mAh battery. The device is powered by a Snapdragon 665 SoC which is coupled with 4/6GB of RAM and 64/128GB of storage. The phone runs on Android Pie out of the box. It also offers a pure stock Android experience and the device comes under Google’s Android One programme, which is one of the key features of the device. All the A series smartphone are based on a Mi series smartphone, this time the Mi A3 is based on Mi CC9e. The phone is available in three colour options, which are “Not Just Blue”, “More Than White” and “Kind of Gray”.

The device was launched at a price tag of €249 for the European markets. However, the pricing in European markets is slightly high compared to other markets, it would be interesting to see how competitively Xiaomi prices it with that HD+ resolution, SD 665 & triple rear cameras, so stay tuned for that!
