A couple of back, Xiaomi teased a New smartphone on Twitter, that a new member is coming to its already stacked Mi 9 flagship lineup – the Mi 9TÂ & in the same tweet started a new hashtag #popupinstyle, which means that Mi 9T will come with a Popup selfie camera since then speculation went rife about the Mi 9T being the Re-named version of recently launched Redmi K20 for the Global market. There’s no difference in between both the phones except for the name & branding at the back.

The hands-on images along with a retail box of the upcoming Mi 9T has been leaked, via a Youtuber in Dubai, as you can see from these images, the Mi 9T has a bezel-less design along with a pop-up selfie camera at the front. As for the specifications mentioned on the plastic sheet, it has a 6.39 inch FullHD+ AMOLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 (8mm), an in-display fingerprint sensor, 48MP AI triple rear cameras, 20MP pop-up front camera and a 4000mAh battery with 18W fast charging tech.
So if you look at the specifications there’s no change in Mi 9T & Redmi K20. In another image, the retail box of the Mi 9T shows the smartphone in the Carbon Black, which is actually a special edition colour variant of Redmi K20, so the colour option for the Mi 9T might be different so nothing can be said right now if we will see those gradient back panel for the Mi9. There’s also mention of 6GB RAM & 64GB storage variant on the box.
