Samsung is working onto its next flagship of the year, yep the Samsung Galaxy Note 10. The successor to the last year’s Note 9 & the twelveth device to the series. Note series has been received well in the market, except the Note 7 blunder. The unique feature i.e the Spen is the main feature of the Note series which separates it from other series. Like last year Samsung is expected to debut Note 10 in August in India. Today famous leakster @Onleaks on twitter shared CAD render of the upcoming flagship from Samsung – Samsung Galaxy Note 10.
Samsung isn’t going with pop-up mechanisms with this device, instead, they are continuing the punch hole trend which was present on S10 series. Rumours suggest the upcoming Galaxy M40 will also spot a punch hole. Unlike the S10 series which had a punch hole on the right side, but the Note 10 will have the punch hole in the centre. The device will spot 6.3-inch infinity O Dynamic AMOLED HDR10 display. The screen size is less compared to the previous year’s Note 9. As expected the screen will also carry an in-display fingerprint sensor like the S10. Renders suggest that Note 10 will have curved edges on both the sides and will carry thin bezels all over the display.
Turning to the back, the device has given a fresh glass sandwich design. And the first triple camera phone in the Note series. instead of the usual placement of module at the centre, this will have a vertical setup just like the Huawei P30 Pro. Unfortunately, we don’t have any information regarding the camera modules. As said above the front module will be placed inside the punch hole.
With the Note 10, Samsung is removing the headphone jack following the trend of Apple, Google and OnePlus. There is also no dedicated Bixby button this time. The removal of the headphone jack is one of the worst things, as wireless earphones can’t give the performance of wired earphone. The left side of the smartphone has the power and volume rockers, which makes the right edge clean.
As usual, the bottom has the single speaker followed by the primary microphone, Spen and Type-C port which also acts as a headphone jack. The sim tray is placed on the top edge and there is a mic near the tray. It looks like there’s an IR blaster but there’s not much space to fit in, Galaxy Note 10 has a thin metal frame which would be thicker only at the buttons, just like the Samsung S10 5G.
The device will be powered by Snapdragon 855/Exynos 9820 which will be coupled up to 12GB of RAM. The device will run on Android Pie based on OneUi. There are reports that Samsung will launch a Galaxy Note 10 Pro as well. The device will sport a relatively larger 6.75-inch screen, quad-rear camera setup – including a ToF sensor like Huawei P30 Pro, and will also support UFS 3.0 storage and 45W fast-charging support. Apparently, the ‘Pro’ version will have capacitive or pressure-sensitive buttons instead of the physical ones.
