Asus is gearing up for the launch of – ROG 3 gaming phone, it is the successor of the ROG phone 2 that launched in October last year. The device has already been spotted in Geekbench & WiFi Alliance platforms before and Now the ROG 3 gaming phone shows up on TENAA revealing Design & specifications of the handset.

Now as per TeNAA listing, the ROG 3 gaming phone has a similar design language as its predecessor with the rectangular shape & horizontal rear cameras and as for the front like the predecessor, this also won’t have a notch or punch-hole cut, Dual front-firing speaker on the front, power button & volume rockers are on the right, Type-C/video port on the left, Type-C port at the bottom & there’s no headphone jack!
On the rear, There’s now a triple camera setup on the rear and there’s the same Aura RGB strip that lights the logo of the phone
The ROG 3 gaming phone certified with the model number – 10003DD & has a 6.59-inch display with FullHD+ resolution. There’s an under-display-fingerprint sensor for security. Under the hood, there’s Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 overclocked at 3,091GHz & could have the same 8GB RAM & 128GB Storage, (Chinese) a 12GB RAM & 512GB version for global just like ROG Phone 2. The listing also shows the phone could feature a 16GB RAM so if that’s the case then it will make it the 3rd phone after the S20 Ultra & Redmagic 5G. Runs on Android 10 out-of-box with ROG Ui on top of it.
There is a triple rear camera setup at the back of which the main sensor seems to upgraded to 64MP, secondary 13MP though there’s no info about the third camera.
The TENAA listing reveals only one colour of the Rog 3 gaming phone that is Bright Black but there could be more! & it has a 6,000mAh battery same as its predecessor. the dimensions of the phone are 171 x 78 x 9.85mm making it a thick phone & is heavy as well at 240gm. A China CCC listing reveals that the phone will come with a 30W wired fast charging.
The Rog 3 gaming phone appeared on Antutu & scored over 646,000, is the 2nd highest score among the phones powered by Snapdragon 865, first being the Oppo Find X2 Pro. The listing also reveals that there is LPDDR5 RAM & UFS 3.0 storage & 144Hz display.
Rumours suggest that the phone could launch in July. So let’s see, Stay tuned.
