Redmi to launch Redmi 7A, the ultra-budget friendly smartphone in India tomorrow!



A few days ago Xiaomi VP, Manu Kumar Jain shared on Twitter that 23.6 million units of the Redmi 4A, 5A & 6A have been sold in Indian market so far, the number is higher than the population of Australia, that’s impressive. In the same tweet, Manu mentions that the Redmi 7A is Coming Soon & also started a new hashtag #smartdeshkasmartphone which led to speculation of what might be the launch date. though Redmi has already unveiled its ultra-budget friendly smartphone 7A in China.

A banner is already up on the Flipkart which reveals that the upcoming budget-friendly Redmi 7A is launching in India tomorrow. Xiaomi teased that the upcoming Redmi 7A will have a 12MP Sony IMX 486, it is the same sensor which is present in the Redmi Note 5 Pro, Asus MaxPro M2 & Mi A2 etc, if Xiaomi manages to process the images in good quality that would be the game changer in this ultra-budget segment.

The Redmi 7A features 5.45-inch HD+ (1440X720), 18:9 panel, 256ppi, the are some display features like – Sunlight legibility, Eye protection mode, & Night light mode. The handset has Rheinland low-blue light certification. For performance, the device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz, Adreno 505 GPU, coupled with 2/3GB RAM & 16/32GB internal storage. It has a triple card slot, which means you can add two SIM and a MicroSD card, runs on MIUI 10 on top of Android 9 Pie.

There’s a single 13MP camera on the rear, PDAF, 2.2 aperture, 1.12-micron pixel size, on the front, there’s a 5MP  camera, which has features like the Smart HDR, Face Recognition, AI Mode, Beauty mode, Portrait Mode.

The handset has a 4000mAh bundled with a standard 10W charger, the handset is spill-proof coating, what that means is that a few drops of rain won’t affect it. The phone is priced at 549 Yuan in China, so we have to wait till tomorrow for the Indian pricing but we expect the device to be priced under RS. 6,000.
