Redmi to launch Redmi 10X on 26th May in China!

Today, MediaTek launched the next iteration of its Dimensity 800 chipset, ie. Dimensity 820 and after the launch, Redmi General Manager Lu Weibing on Weibo announced that the company will launch the Redmi 10X with Dimensity 820 on 26th May in China.

The Redmi 10x in terms of design is pretty similar to the recently launched Redmi Note 9 well at least from the back, Quad rear cameras in a square camera module & from the front, it features a U-shaped notch instead of the punch-hole display and there’s coloured power button too.

A model number “M2004J7BC” also appeared on Antutu today, the same model was also spotted on Geekbench a couple of days ago. The listing mentions MediaTek Dimensity 820, 8GB of RAM & 256GB of storage & Android 10, it matches the previous leaks thus confirming that this is the Redmi 10X. Anyways the device scores 4,15,277 points which are higher than the devices powering the Qualcomm Snapdragon 756G & Kirin 820 chipsets.

As for the specs, there’s no information about the size of the display but as per some leaks, there’s an AMOLED panel with FullHD+ resolution, powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 820, which also makes it the first phone in the world to have it. Quad rear cameras – 48MP Primary, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle, an 2MP macro & a2MP depth sensor. The phone will have four colour options – Blue, Pink, White & Golden.

According to a report by 91 Mobiles in collaboration with Ishan Agarwal, which claims that there are two variants of Redmi 10X – a 4G & a 5G. Furthermore, the report mentions that the 4G variant will come with two RAM & Storage variants i.e. 4GB RAM + 128GB storage while the Redmi 10X 5G will have four RAM & Storage variants i.e. 6GB+64GB, 6GB+128GB, 8GB+128GB & 8GB+256GB storage variants.
