It looks like Redmi is gearing up for its first launch of 2020. VP of Xiaomi India, Manu Kumar Jain revealed in a tweet that Redmi will soon launch a phone with a tag line “Desh ka Damdar Smartphone”, which could very well be the Redmi 9A, the successor of Redmi 8A which was launched in September last year (Not even five-months).
Moreover, Manu said there’s another surprise which will be revealed alongside the upcoming phone, could be another phone or already teased Redmi power bank.
Not 1️⃣ but 2️⃣ amazing surprises are coming your way! 🙌

The teaser though does not reveal the name of the phone but we are sure that it is indeed the Redmi 9A, as the tagline “Desh ka Damdar Smartphone” is similar to the tagline which Redmi 8A used “Smart Desh ka Damdar Smartphone. Anyway, the phone is slated to launch on February 11th.
Redmi made a teaser page which revealed some specifications/features of the upcoming Rerdmi 9A include- dual-camera setup on the rear (Redmi 8A had only one), 5000mAh battery & a new design for better grip. The hashtag #MorePowerToRedmi we expect it to use a better processor probably the Mediatek Helio G70, as to compete against the Realme C3 which launched yesterday, considering the Redmi 8a had the Corning Gorilla Glass 5, Type-C port & an 18W fast charger support.
However, as nothing more is known about the device yet, so we’ll have to wait for more to pour in.
