Last month, Redmi launched two smartphones in its Note series i.e Redmi Note 9 Pro & Redmi Note 9 Pro Max and to everyone’s surprise, Redmi did not unveil the vanilla Redmi Note 9 at the event & there was no word from the company when it will be launched or will it be launched at all?. Well, the Redmi Note 9 is indeed launching soon as it got listed on TENAA. The listing reveals the overall design and some major specifications of the phone.

As per the listing, Redmi Note 9 has the same design language as the Redmi Note 9 Pro & Note 9 Pro Max with some minimal changes, so it has the same Quad rear camera setup in a square-shaped camera module, Now coming to what is the difference it is the fingerprint scanner which has now moved to the back on the Note 9, which was on the side of the Note 9 Pro. Furthermore, Note 9 has punch-hole on the top left corner of the display while the Redmi Note 9, NoteAh battery  9 Pro Max has a punch-hole in the centre of the display.

Onto the specifications, the listing reveals that the handset has a 6.53-inch LCD display with FULLHD+ resolution and a 13MP single selfie camera, a 48MP primary lens on the back, unfortunately, there’s no information about the rest of the camera sensors, there is no mention of the chipset in the listing which will be powering the device though rumours suggest that it will be a Mediatek chipset, not Qualcomm’s so the SOC could be Mediatek Helio G80, though not confirmed yet.

Anyway, there are three RAM & storage variants for the Redmi Note 9 i.e 3/4/6GB RAM & 32/64/128GB internal storage and there’s 4920mAh battery capacity.
