Redmi launches Redmi Earbuds S: An Affordable TWS for the masses!



Today, Redmi launched the Redmi Earbuds S, following soon after the Mi True Wireless Earphones 2. This is a first-ever Truly Wireless solution from the company since its first arrival in India. The Truly wireless earbuds are already available in China as the Redmi Airdots S.

Though the Earbuds are priced a bit higher from the Airdots S which were priced at CNY 100 (approx Rs. 1100)

The wireless earbuds are compact & have a sleek design to it, are pretty easy to connect just take out the earbuds from the case & plus in These earphones look to offer basic of the true wireless experience to the budget user with the form factor that is typically more expensive.


The Earbuds features a 7.2mm driver and supports SBS codec, Bluetooth 5 .0 for connectivity. There’s also a low latency mode for the game lovers & Redmi claims that the low latency mode can reduce the latency to 122ms thus reducing audio delay while playing games.

Redmi Earbuds S has a multifunctional button that allows user to accept calls without even touching the phone, the earphones support Environmental Noice Cancellation (ENC) which works through the Realtek RTL8763BFR that reduces environmental noise and also supports a voice assistant, just double-tap the earbud to trigger voice assistant. Moreover, users will be able to use a single earbud individually without separately pairing each earbud.

The company claims that these earbuds can provide a four hour on a single charge & twelve hours with the charging case, the earbuds are IPX4 sweat & splash-proof. The earbuds just weigh 4.1 gram each, making it one of the lightest earbuds available.

The truly wireless earbuds are priced at Rs. 1,799, & come in Black colour only. Customers will be able to buy these earbuds from 27th May (tomorrow) from, & Mi Home.
