Xiaomi is set to unveil the Redmi K20 on May 28th in China. Redmi posted some posters of the phone through their Weibo account. It confirms some key specs and an image of K20 Pro mentioning the price has been leaked too. There is a lot of stuff to talk about it.
The poster revealing the prices of all the variants of the K20 Pro was shared on Chinese social network Weibo. If this is true, it would cost around CNY2,599 ($377) for the base 6GB/64GB variant, CNY2,799 ($406) for the 6GB/128GB variant, and CNY2,999 ($435) for the top variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.
The poster also reveals some information like Snapdragon 855, the primary 48MP sensor and a massive 4000 mAh battery. The back of the K20 looks unique, gradient back with a wave-like pattern when light falls on it & triple cameras, the primary camera with a gold rim. The company hasn’t confirmed the launch of K20 Pro on May 28th. But it has some key confirmed features like Snapdragon 855, 960fps slow-mo and triple rear camera setup.
The K20 will carry a notch-less screen, 7th-gen in-display fingerprint scanner, DC Dimming, and Game Turbo 2.0. Talking about the in-display fingerprint sensor it is equipped with a 3P lens and has 7.2µm ultra-large pixels. It has a 100% higher photo-sensitive area, 15% more scanning area and is 30% more accurate than previous generation scanners.
As far as the K20 series models are concerned, the “base” model should be able to count on the support for rapid charging at 18 W while the Pro version should reach up to 27 W. As per these photos, on the left side, there appears to be a button dedicated to Xiaomi’s virtual assistant.
Another poster of K20 reveals that it will carry Snapdragon 730, 48MP sensor and 4000 mAh battery.
