Realme has unveiled its first flagship of 2020 i.e Realme X50 Pro 5G & has beaten IQOO launching he first “5G” in India to claim to be the first ones to bring 5G phone in India even though 5G isn’t present in India & there’s no hope till 2022 either. Anyway, X50 Pro 50 is the second flagship smartphone from Realme under the X series after X2 Pro that launched last year and it is the first phone to launch with Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor in India.
Realme X50 Pro 5G
As for the design, there’s no difference in X50 & X50 Pro expect for the location of flash on the rear is a bit changed, Realme logo has now shifted back vertically on the bottom, which was just below the rear camera of the X2 Pro, Anyway now coming back to the design, it has the same punch-hole display with two selfie cameras at the front, under-display fingerprint sensor, minimal chin, quad rear cameras at the back placed vertically on the top left.
One more thing this is the first phone from Realme in India which does not have a 3.5mm audio jack, pretty contrary if you ask me as last year in August Madhav Seth, CEO of Realme said in an interview with GSMArena that the company would keep the headphone jack as Indian customers want it and what’s more shocking is that the phone is thick chassey so they could have given headphone jack but they chose not too which is sad nonetheless.
Now coming to the specifications, x50 Pro 5G features a 6.44-inch FullHD+ Super AMOLED panel with 90Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The display has a peak brightness level of 1000nit, thanks to all minimal bezel all around the screen to body ratio is 92%. Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 5G coupled with Adreno 650 powers the device with 6/8/12GB LPDDR5 RAM & 128/256GB with UFS 3.0 storage. There’s no MicroSD card support. Runs on Realme Ui based on Android 10. It comes in two colour options – Moss Green, Rush Red.
For the optics, X50 Pro 5G has Quad rear camera setup at the back, a primary 64MP with Samsung ICOCELL GW1 sensor with f/1.8 aperture, a secondary 8MP with 119% field of view, a 12MP telephoto lens with 2X optical Zoom & 20X Digital Zoom & a 2MP monochrome sensor for portraits (basically a depth sensor). There’s a dual-camera setup at the front which includes a 32MP Sony IMX 616 sensor with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens.
Other camera features include – Ultra Night space, HyperText, ultra 64MP mode, Panoramic View, 4K video at 30fps, Portrait Distorsion Correction etc.
The device has a 4200mAh processor with 65W SuperDart charging, surpassing its last year X2 Pro’s 50W and which makes it the fastest charger available in the Indian market. For connectivity, it has 5G, 4G VOLTE, WiFi 6, Bluetooth v5.1. & A-GPS.
