Realme X to launch on 15th July in India. Onion & Garlic variant coming as well!



It seems we finally a date for the launch of the one of the most awaited smartphone from Realme, Yes! its Realme X. Realme, CEO Madhav Sheth Announced via Twitter that Realme X will launch on 15th July, this being the premium offering from the company will compete with the Redmi K20, which is launching just two days after it.

Sheth also hinted at the pricing of Realme X; which would be around ₹ 18,000/-. However, for the exact pricing, we’ve to wait until July 15.

Realme has also previously confirmed that the Special Onion and Garlic edition of the Realme X which had launched in China, & the recently launched Spiderman Edition is also heading to India. Realme also that special model specifically made for India is also coming which will be revealed at the launch event itself.

Madhav mentioned that the device will carry a different chip mainly to cut costs etc, although in China it is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 710; which Realme has already launched with Realme 3 Pro. Some rumours also suggest that Realme X will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 which also powers Redmi K20.

Realme X Chinese Variant Specifications

Realme X has a no notch display without any cut-outs & has a front mechanised popup camera. It has a huge 6.53 inch FHD+ AMOLED display, Gorilla Glass 5 for protection. An in-display fingerprint sensor which the company claims that the sensor is much faster and reliable than the first gen sensors. power button & volume rockers at the right, Type-C port at the bottom.

Talking about the optics, it has a 48MP Sony IMX sensor coupled with a 5MP depth sensor. To the front, it has a pop-up camera 16MP Sony IMX 471 sensor, same sensor present on the OnePlus 7/ 7 Pro front camera. It is powered by the same Snapdragon 710 with 4/6/8GB of RAM, 64/128GB storage, runs on Color OS 6 on top of Android 9 Pie. It has a 3750mAh battery with support for VOOC 3.0.

The Realme X is priced at 1,499 Yuan ($220) for the 4GB/64GB option, 1,599 Yuan ($235) for the 6GB/64GB edition, and 1,799 Yuan ($260) for the 8GB/128GB model.

However, we expect the device to launch here in India with everything same except the chipset, so we’d have to wait till July 15th to find out till then stay tuned.
