It’s been little over a week since Realme unveiled its Realme 6 series in India. Now its seems we’ll soon be getting a new smartphone under the 6 series as Realme is gearing up to launch Realme 6i soon. The device is the successor of the Realme 5i that launched two months ago (January).
A few weeks ago Realme 6i with the model number (RX2040) was leaked in an FCC listing which revealed some details along with the photos. As you can see in the images the handset has an identical design language to that of Realme 5i. Waterdrop notch, a noticeable chin Quad rear cameras at the back etc despite being a member of 6 series.
As per the listing, the RX2040 handset has a 5000mAh battery which charges through USB-Type-C with support for 18W fast charging, 5i had the same battery capacity but had a 10W charging. With that being said it still retains 3.5mm audio jack. The phone measures 164.4 x 75 x 9.0mm & weighs 195g.
Now the official Facebook page of Realme Myanmar has shared some info about the phone, so the upcoming Realme 6i will be powered by Mediatek Helio G80 chipset which also makes it the world’s first smartphone to be powered by the new chipset and is launching on 17th of March in Myanmar. It further reveals that the handset will have a 48MP primary lens on the rear, 16MP front camera and that the handset will have 18W fast charging support.
For starters, The MediaTek Helio G80 announced last month, based on a 12nm process. An octa-core CPU with high performing Cortex A75 & Mali G52 GPU clocked at 950MHz so in terms of performance it sits between the G70 & G90 chipsets.
Coming back to listing which further reveals that the smartphone has been already certified by wireless authorities in India, Thailand Russia etc. So expect the phone to launch in India soon as well.
