Realme band with Nine Sports Mode & USB Direct Charge unveiled in India!




After months of teasers & a little bit of delay, Realme has finally unveiled its first fitness tracker i.e. Realme Band in India alongside the Realme 6 series, the band is the first of many IoT devices such as a smart speaker, smartwatch among others that Realme will launch and thus making a complete ecosystem. The Realme band will compete against the Xiaomi Mi Band 4 & the Honor Band 5.

Realme said all its IoT devices in including the fitness band and the upcoming smartwatch, smart speaker among others will all be connected through the Realme link app just like the Huawei health app. The Realme link app also supports the recently launched Realme buds Air & is available on Google Play store for users to download.

The Realme band features a 0.96 inch TFT LCD coloured display that has a resolution of 80×160 pixels. Since there’s no touch functionality on the panel, Realme has given a single capacitive touch button below the display through which users can navigate between the menu. The display has five brightness levels which can be customised through the Realme Link App The band lights up with the movement of the wrist just like Mi band 4. The band comes with five pre-installed watches faces and the company has promised to add more watch faces in the future which will be pushed via an OTA on the Realme link app.

The band comes with regular fitness features that you’d expect from a fitness band like the automated heart rate monitor, 24-hour real-time heart monitoring, resting heart rate, sleep monitoring, step counts, water reminder & ideal mode which reminds the user to walk or move a little if they have been sitting for long hours. Realme band has nine sports mode like Yoga, running, walking, hiking, cycling, spinning, climbing, fitness and finally cricket which is specifically customised for India. Moreover, the band will also show the detail statistics of the ongoing match.


The band also features the smart notifications that support Facebook, Gmail, WhatsApp among other apps. Other functions of the band include alarm reminder, automatic screen rotation, weather forecast, call reminder, automatic brightness adjustment at night and more.

The band has a USB plug & charge design, allows users to plug the band into a USB port directly requiring users to remove one half of the strap. The band has a 4MB storage & a 90mAh battery which Realme claims can last nine days without the 24-heart-monitoring off & about six days with the 24-hour heart monitoring on, it takes less than 2 hours to fully charge. Furthermore, the band is IP68 water & dust resistant.
