Remember, last month at the launch of Realme 5i, Madhav Seth teased Realme fitness band thus continuing its trend of teasing upcoming products at the launch events. Anyway, soon after that people started speculating about the possible launch though it did not happen and then came the launch of Realme X50 Pro 5G where the company finally put rest to all speculations and announced that it will be launching the much-awaited Realme Band on March 5th along with Realme 6 series.
With Realme band, the company marks its entry into the AIoT industry & revealed other IoT products it is going to launch this year which includes- Smartwatch, Smart speaker, Smart weighing scale, Smart clock. Realme shared a photo of the retail box of the Realme band, of course, it is in its signature yellow scheme with the band’s picture on the front & Realme band written on the sides.
The Band is expected to have the features that are usually found in a fitness band like the step counts, Running, sleep tracking & long-lasting battery etc. Madhav has already mentioned that the band will also have a heart rate sensor & USB plug & charge design, allows users to plug the band into a USB port directly requiring users to remove one half of the strap. The band could come with watch faces to customise it further.
The Realme band will be available in three colours – Black, Yellow & a mystery colour that will be unveiled at the time of the launch, the band will be connected to a companion app i.e Realme Link which was revealed recently. The band will compete against the Xiaomi Mi Band 4, Honor band 5 in India.
