Realme launched the Realme 5 series in August, last year & boom six months later here we are as Realme has unveiled its Realme 6 series i.e Realme 6, Realme 6 Pro in India. Furthermore, Realme said that 6 series is the biggest series upgrade ever & also that Realme 6 is a successor to the Realme 5 Pro & Realme 6 Pro is the successor to Realme X, thus changing their positions in the market to the budget midrange-segment.
Realme 6 Design & Specifications.
Realme this has gone with a different design which we’ve not seen in its budget-focused series at least, Yes unlike the water-drop notch on the Realme 5 series, Realme 6 has a punch-hole selfie camera at the front on the top left, which means it has an LCD panel instead of AMOLED with almost no bezels all around & minimal chin at the bottom.
There’s no fingerprint scanner under the screen or at the back, indicates that the device has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner which doubles as a power button on the right, Volume rockers are on the left. Type-C port, 3.5mm audio jack & speaker grill at the bottom.
On to the rear now, The device has vertically aligned Quad rear camera setup & there’s vertically aligned Realme logo at the bottom. One thing to note here is that the back of the phone is made up of polycarbonate, not glass & has a gradient finish to it.
Now on the specifications, Realme 6 has 6.5-inch LCD panel with FullHD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate & Corning Gorilla Glass 3, powering the device is the MediaTek Helio G90T alongside Mali G76 MC4 GPU, this is the same processor that powers Redmi Note 8 Pro. Moreover, the Mali G76 beats the Adreno 618 GPU of SD 730 so by that sense it’s great for gaming. It is coupled with 4/6/8GB RAM & 64/128GB UFS 2.1 storage expandable via a MicroSD card. Runs on Realme Ui based on Android 10.
There’s a Quad rear camera setup at the back which consisting of a primary 64MP Samsung ISOCELL GW1 Bright sensor, a secondary 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.3 aperture, a third 2MP macro lens & finally a 2MP B&W sensor for portraits. On the front, there’s a 16MP shooter with f/2.0 aperture. Other cameras include – Super NightScape 2.0, Slo-mo, Ultra image stabilization mode & the primary camera can shoot 4K @30fps videos.
The handset has a 4300mAh battery with 30W VOOC flash charge and charger comes in the box. The handset comes in two colour variants – Comet Blue, Comet White.
