A couple of days ago Realme announced that it will launch its flagship series – Realme 5 series i.e. Realme 5 & Realme 5 Pro with Quad rear cameras in India on 20th August. Since then speculation went rife about which processor will Realme use in its Realme 5, Qualcomm or Mediatek. Now the upcoming budget device Realme 5 has appeared on the benchmarking website Geebench revealing its key specifications.
Realme 5 Geekbench listing
The listing on the Geebench reveals the device with model number – RMX1911, will be powered Qualcomm Snapdragon 665, now you may ask how do we know? as the listing hasn’t revealed processor of the device, take a look at the motherboard- it says ‘trinket’ which is the internal naming for Snapdragon 665, which was first noted when Xiaomi Mi A3 appeared on Geekbench, with that being said the listing says Realme RMX1191 i.e. Realme 5 has a 4GB RAM variant, though we expect it to have a 3GB RAM variant as well. Since it has been confirmed it will be priced under 10k, this is just like what they did with Realme 3. The listing further says that it’ll have Android 9 Pie out of the box.
Now coming to the GeekBench scores, the single-core score of the phone is 1,525 while the multi-core score is 5,498, considering Realme 3 score, which of course is lesser but this isn’t a major leap itself. As we already know Realme 5 will have teardrop notch design upfront, a Quad rear camera setup at the back i.e. a 48MP Sony IMX primary sensor, a Wide-angle with 119 degree-field of view, a Super Macro lens and finally a Depth sensor for the portrait shots. There’s no information about the camera specs other than what cameras are being used, at the front there’s a 16Mp front selfie camera if rumours are to go by, there’s no wording on the battery size though.
The device colours, pricing & availability information will be revealed when the Realme 5 series launches on 20th August so stay tuned for that!
