In 2018, when every other phone manufacturer had some sort of notch on their phone, i.e dewdrop notch or small etc. OPPO then came up with a smartphone which had a unique design that had all screen at the front (no notch) & rear motorised camera. It was the OPPO Find X, actually, OPPO was the first manufacturer to implement a pop-up camera mechanism on their smartphones.
Now fast forward to 2020, OPPO is launching Find X2 at MWC in Barcelona on 22nd February. while we don’t know how the phone looks like what we do know is a bit of the specification of the Find X2 since they got leaked a while ago, though we are not sure how much of this information is true so take this grain of salt, anyway, Find X2 features a QuadHD+ curved display with 120Hz refresh rate though the display is curved on both sides it doesn’t make it a 90-degree curve rather it is around an 80-degree curve.
Find X2 leaked specs
Find X2 uses a new custom display chip for implementing Motion Estimation Motion Compensation (MEMC) technology which is used in high-end TV’s. If you remember OnePlus showed this a month back & OPPO also signed a multi-year deal with Pixelworks so the Find X2 will have a huge emphasis on its new display tech.
The device is expected to come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 and there’s also a custom M1 chip co=processor which will help in taking the load off SD 865 whenever required.
As for the cameras, there’s a triple camera setup at the back, Sony & Oppo developed a custom 48MP Sony IMX 689 sensor, it is 1/1.3inches sensor which is bigger than the 1/1.75inches IMX 600 sensor on the Huawei Mate 30 Pro & apparently it has a tech called the Omni-directional autofocus which is supposedly better than the Dual autofocus.
Out of three triple rear cameras, the second lens is the ultra-wide-angle with Sony IMX 708 sensor and a third is a 13MP telephoto lens with 5X Hybrid Zoom. On the front, there’s a 32MP selfie camera with Sony IMX 616 sensor. Moreover, Find X2 is rumoured to feature an in-display selfie camera but nonetheless the phone is indeed shaping off to e one of the best phone of 202 with its innovative tech just like how Find X did in 2018.
Though there are still two weeks left for the launch, so we’ll definitely get more information as the days pass so stay tuned.
