The next iteration of Huawei P series smartphones i.e. P40 & P40 Pro is expected to launch next year and Huawei CEO Richard Yu confirmed that the phones will launch in March 2020 at an event in Paris. Moreover, he mentions that both the phones will run on EMUI 10 with the Huawei mobile services, which means No Google services or apps. Today the first CAD renders of the upcoming Huawei P40 & P40 Poro have leaked on the web, courtesy of the @Onleaks.

As the CAD renders of the Huawei P40 & P40 Pro doesn’t reveal the complete design of both the phones like will it have a notched display or a punch-hole display. P40 will reportedly have a 6.1 – 6.2-inch flat display while its big brother P40 Pro will have a larger 6.5 – 6.7inch curved display on both sides, both the phones are expected to have OLED display with an in-display fingerprint scanner just like its predecessor p30 & p30 Pro. The device will have a metal frame instead of the plastic frame on the edges which apparently protect the display from falls. 2mm hole on top, Power button, volume rockers on the right and Type-C port, speaker grille at the bottom, there’s no 3.5mm audio jack in the device.
Talking about the rear design, the device has a massive rectangular camera module just like we saw on the Galaxy S11, P40 will have a quad camera setup while the number of cameras on Huawei p40 Pro aren’t known yet, going by the rumours it may have a Penta camera setup at the back.
Although there’s not much information about the specifications of the device. However, as per previous reports, P40 Pro could come with a mammoth 5500mAh battery with 50W fast charging support. both the handset will have in-house Kirin 990 processor with integrated 5G modem. On the software front, as we said above it will run on EMUI 10 based on Android but won’t have any Google services on it.
According to the rumours, Huawei P40 Pro could feature a 120Hz refresh rate display and a whopping 98% screen-to-body ratio. Moreover, the device is expected to feature Leica branded camera setup with a primary 64mp Sony IMX 686 with OIS support coupled with 20MP wide-angle lens, a 12MP periscope telephoto lens, a macro lens and finally a TOF sensor.
