First ever Samsung Pop-up camera phone renders leaked!

Last year we saw Samsung using notches and punch-hole display with some variation of it i.e in the centre, top right, Samsung was still holding off the pop-up mechanism trend on their phones, but it seems that this might change soon as the renders of the upcoming Samsung pop-up camera phone has been leaked by Onleaks & PigTou.

Well, Samsung does have the Galaxy A80 though it has a pop-up mechanism for the rear with the rotating combination that also worked as a selfie camera for the phone. This upcoming Samsung pop-up camera phone has a regular pop-up camera mechanism like the Redmi k20, OnePlus 7 Pro.

Samsung Pop-up camera phone

looking at the leaked renders reveals that the phone has a full screen at the front, minimal bezels all around but the bottom chin has some length to it. Anyways, there’s a physical fingerprint scanner at the back which is little odd to see as most OEMs are using in-display fingerprint sensors for AMOLED & side-mounted fingerprint sensor for LCD displays so we don’t really know what tech is being used for display.

The device has a triple rear camera setup on the rear placed on the top left, pop-up selfie camera at the front. All these things point towards this being a mid-range device, not a flagship and it could be a device under the Galaxy A series. What the company missed is the 3.5mm audio jack. Type-C port, speaker grille at the bottom.

The display is said to be of 6.5inch diagonally though the rest of the specifications are still a mystery so is the name of the device. Well, the phone is pretty thick at 9.2mm and now add the rear camera bump to it which makes it 9.7mm thickness. this could probably be due to bigger battery underneath the phone which is generally the case with Samsung budget devices. The phone has curved edges on the back!

We’ll probably hear about the device more in coming weeks so with that being said what do you think about the design of this Samsung pop-up camera phone?. Let us know.
