Well if you’ve been waiting for Apple to launch a refreshed version MacBook Pro then well that just might happen this year. Yes, that’s true as Apple is apparently looking to replace its current 13-inch MacBook Pro with a new 14inch one as per the reputed analyst Ming-Chi-Kuo, the Cupertino based company could unveil five mini-LED products alongside the new MacBook.

As Kuo mentioned, the 14-inch Macbook Pro will replace the current 13inch Mackbook Pro well this comes the company replaced its 15-inch Macbook Pro with a 16inch one last year. He also mentions that the new Macbook could also feature Apple’s new Scissor switch Magic keyboard. With that being said the new Macbook is one of the mini-LED products that is expected to release this year.

The other products based on the mini-LED Panel are a 12.9 inch iPad Pro, a 27 inch iMac Pro, a 16 inch MacBook Pro, a 10.2 inch iPad & 7.2-inch iPad mini. Though Kuo does not mention any release date for any of the products but for the 27-inch iMac he mentions that it is launching in Q4 this year, this will be the first upgrade after 2017 when it was first introduced.

Furthermore, the analyst says that Apple products with mini-LED are unaffected by the COVID-19 and research & development are going on quicker than expected. Though Kou said the 14-inch MacBook Pro, however a recent report the 13-inch revision is also in the pipelines with the intel lake processor & Magic keyboard.

Kuo has said that Apple is adopting the mini-LED panels as they offer a rich wide colour gamut, high contrast ratios, high dynamic range & localised dimming, mini-LED is also believed to result in thinner panels that are more power-efficient and they do not suffer from the screen burn-in like the OLED panels.

There’s no details available about the new MacBook Pro or iMac Pro models. However, taking into account all the past record of Kuo predictions we can safely say we’ll see most of these products if not all in 2020 & 2021.
